วัดท่าม่วง

โบสถ์สีม่วงทองสุดแปลกตา ของอำเภอบางสะพานน้อย จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ จุดที่เป็นไฮไลต์ ได้แก่ โบสถ์ที่ทาสีม่วงสลับกับสีทอง รวมทั้งกำแพงแก้ว ใบเสมาก็ทาสีม่วงสลับทองด้วยเช่นกัน ดูแล้วสวยงามแปลกตา และเป็นเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่น โดยเฉพาะช่วงท้องฟ้าเปิด เมื่อแดดออกสีม่วงและสีทองจะส่องประกายสวยงดงาม ภายในโบสถ์ประดิษฐานพระพุทธชินราช เป็นพระประธาน บนเพดานจะแปลกกว่าวัดทั่วไปที่ใช้ลวดลายไทย หรือภาพพุทธประวัติ แต่ที่นี่จะใช้สลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาลมาติดบนเพดานแทนวอลเปเปอร์ ส่วนช่องหน้าต่างบานประตูทั้งด้านหน้าโบสถ์ ประตูหลังโบสถ์ รวมแล้ว 14 ช่อง จะใช้เหรียญสลึง เหรียญสองสลึง และเหรียญสองบาท ซึ่งเป็นเหรียญที่มีสีทองมาติดเอาไว้ ซึ่งทั้งสลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาล ให้มีความแปลก มีพุทธศาสนิกชน นักท่องเที่ยวเดินทางเข้ามาทำบุญ ท่องเที่ยว กราบไว้สิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ต่างๆ นอกจากโบสถ์แล้ว ที่วัดท่าม่วงยังมีทั้งบ่อน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ วิหารที่ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปเก่าแก่อายุ 100 ปี หลายองค์ที่เป็นที่เคารพศรัทธาของชาวบ้านและพุทธศาสนิกชนทั่วไปทั้งหลวงปู่รอด พระพุทธรูปที่ทำจากไม้จันทร์หอม ซึ่งลอยน้ำมาในคลองหลังวัด และนำขึ้นมาไว้ในวิหารแห่งนี้ รวมทั้งหลวงปู่ดำ หลวงปู่พระประธานพรเก่าแก่ และพระพุทธรูปปางต่าง ๆ ที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์อยู่ในวิหารแห่งนี้ ไม่เพียงเท่านั้น แม้แต่ป้ายวัดท่าม่วง ที่อยู่บริเวณทางเข้ายังนำเหรียญมาติดไว้ตามตัวอักษร

Wat Tha Moung

Wat Tha Moung, a peculiar purple and gold church in Bang Saphan Noi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, is a standout highlight. The church features alternating purple and gold colors, including stained glass windows similarly adorned. It appears beautifully unusual and distinctive, especially during sunrise when the purple and gold hues shimmer magnificently against the open sky. Inside the church, the main Buddha statue is enshrined as the principal figure. The ceiling, rather uniquely, is decorated not with traditional Thai motifs or Buddha's life scenes but with government lottery tickets. Additionally, the church has a total of 14 windows on both the front and rear sides, adorned with coins-single baht coins, two baht coins, and two-satang coins-all in gold-like colors. Aside from the church, Wat Tha Moung also boasts sacred water ponds and a shrine venerating an ancient Buddha statue believed to be a century old, revered by locals and Buddhists alike, including venerable monks and various sacred statues. Even the temple sign at the entrance is adorned with coins embedded in the lettering, adding to its uniqueness.
