วัดธรรมิการามวรวิหาร หรือ วัดเขาช่องกระจก ตั้งอยู่บนเขาช่องกระจกเป็นภูเขาขนาดเล็กตั้งอยู่ด้านหลังศาลากลางจังหวัดติดต่อกับอ่าวประจวบคีรีขันธ์ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ มีลักษณะเด่นก็คือใกล้กับยอดเขาทางด้านทิศเหนือ จะเป็นช่องเขาขนาดใหญ่ ซึ่งเกิดจากกระแสลมและกระแสน้ำตามธรรมชาติ และถ้ามองจากด้านล่างจะเห็นว่าตรงช่องเขาแห่งนี้ มีลักษณะคล้ายกับกระจกใสขนาดใหญ่ส่วนด้านบนยอดเขานั้นเป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ และรอยพระพุทธบาทจำลอง โดยรอยพระพุทธบาทจำลองแห่งนี้แรกเริ่มเดิมทีนั้นสร้างโดย หม่อมเจ้าทองเติม ทองแถม ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ พร้อมด้วยญาติพี่น้องเพื่อเป็นที่สักการะของประชาชน เมื่อวันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2473 ต่อมาเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2496 คณะกรรมการจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ โดยมีพันตำรวจเอก ตระกูลวิเศษศิริ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัด เป็นประธาน ได้พร้อมใจกันมอบถวายรอยพระพุทธบาทและภูเขาช่องกระจก ตลอดจนบริเวณโดยรอบแก่วัดธรรมมิการามวรวิหาร และจากนั้นทางวัดได้จัดให้มีงานประจำปี ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2497 เป็นต้นมา สำหรับพระบรมสารีริกธาตุนั้นพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวและสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าพระบรมราชินีนาถ ทรงมีราชศรัทธา พระราชทาน พระบรมมิการาม ณ วันที่ 3 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2501 และเมื่อถึงวันที่ 11 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2501 โปรดเกล้าให้อัญเชิญพระบรมสารีริกธาตุพร้อมกับพระเจดีย์อันล้ำค่า ที่ทรงสร้างขึ้นจากกรุงเทพฯ มาพักไว้ ณ พระราชวังไกลกังวล หัวหิน รุ่งขึ้นวันที่ 12 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2501 ล้นเกล้าทั้งสองพระองค์เสด็จพระราชดำเนินมาถึงมณฑลพิธี เวลา 7.30 น. พระราชทานพระสารีริกธาตุแก่เจ้าอาวาส แล้วเสด็จพระราชดำเนินขึ้นไปยังพระเจดีย์บนยอดเขาและทรงประดิษฐานพระบรมสารีริกธาตุบนบุษบกในพระเจดีย์ ต่อจากนั้นทรงปลูกต้นศรีมหาโพธิ์ ซึ่งเป็นหน่อของต้นพระศรีมหาโพธิ์เดิมจากพุทธคยา ที่ฐานพระโพธิ์บนยอดเขาเป็นอันเสร็จพระราชพิธีซึ่งเป็นพระมหากรุณาธิคุณต่อชาวจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์เป็นล้นพ้น

จากทางหลวงหมายเลข 4 (เพชรเกษม) เลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าสู่ตัวเมืองประมาณ 2 กิโลเมตร ถึงบริเวณเเยกไฟเเดง เเล้วเลี่ยวซ้ายเข้าไปถึงวัดธรรมิการาม หรือใช้ถนนเลียบชายหาดประจวบมีทางขึ้นทางทิศเหนือ ไปถึงเขาช่องกระจกซึ่งวัดจะอยู่ทางด้านทิศตะวันตกของเขาช่องกระจก
